When I met Maria and Brandon, their vision and description of having their Lake Como wedding at the Hotel Villa Cipressi was remarkable. Any wedding venue on Lake Como is absolutely breathtaking, but the warm yellow toned stucco walls and enchanting marble staircase attracted them highly. Having extensive experience photographing weddings in Italy, I was excited to embark on this journey of love and shoot this Villa Cipressi wedding.

Villa Cipressi is a romantic Italian structure built on the edge of Lake Como in Varenna, Italy. It’s pale yellow plaster walls and rust and white tile adorn it’s premises, making it the perfect Lake Como wedding venue. Maria and Brandon’s epic wedding weekend kicked off with a vintage boat tour, romantic rehearsal dinner, and finished with this amazing wedding day designed by Gold Dust Event Co. Most of all my photos from this wedding were shot on a Contax 645 on Fuji 400h film. Being a hybrid wedding photographer, I truly enjoy the way film captures light and especially in Lake Como, Italy! Maria’s stunning bridesmaids wore marsala-toned dresses, and their reception was warm shades of floral by Fiorgraphia, with the most amazing Lake Como wedding photographer view ever!
